Once upon time I wanted to be a tattoo artist. I never wanted a tattoo and I was certain I didn't want to draw ALL the time. I would have loved it to death. I thrive on creativity like the air I breathe but I need variety. I ended becoming a graphic designer like many artists.
Needless to say, art was my favourite subject at high school. I used to draw a lot in maths and would often draw Native American Indians. Portraits and faces are rather hard to draw without a reference and in a time before iPhones we didn't have Google at our fingertips. The library would have not been much help either. I went without a reference and drew them with skulls. It was easier.
I still draw and paint them to this day, the head pieces are so intricate.
Recently after a road trip through the American desert I was able to pinpoint a past life which makes sense now with these images... or non-sense depending on your beliefs.
Sometimes I make art to help me to understand and process visions & dreams.
