Funny how one portrait can change everything.

I still remember the first one I painted—it sparked something that led me to art class after years away from it. I hadn’t studied art since high school, with life, design work, and family taking up most of my time.

Last year, I paused art class to refocus on my business, and wow—finding the time (and motivation) to paint again has been harder than I expected.

But looking back at that first portrait compared to the final one I painted of my son… the growth is clear. I learned so much - from how powerful it is to really mix your colours (instead of grabbing the closest tube), to discovering oils...seriously, next level.

Hoping to make some space soon to come back to painting and art class.
